TWO TIME CANTEY AWARD WINNER

Jackie Marriott has just become a two time Cantey award winner at Raleigh Little theater on June 30, 2007. Her performance as Ruth Younger in, A Raisin in the Sun ,earned her a second Cantey for best supporting actress for the year 2006-2007. She won previously in 2005-2006 for her performance as Pat in The Story. A Rasin in the Sun also took home the Cantey award for Best Show of the Year 2006-2007. Please view the weblink below for the list of winners.

An all-Black production of Chekhov's final play about a crumbling aristocratic family forced to face reality when it can no longer hold on to its delusions. Set in Russia in 1900, this production explores a classical text with a fresh take by an excellent African-American cast.


Jackie will be portraying Lyubov Ranevskya in this classic tale.
